Two weeks of workshops and lectures
Program
Monday
Day with Goodiepal aka Kristian Vester. Lecture in the morning. In the afternoon there was critique of student works. In the evening Goodiepal gave a performance-presentation at the academy open to all
Tuesday
All met at Notam. There was a short introduction to the facilities. In the afternoon Petr Svarovsky gave an introduction to different types of sensors and how to connect them to computers.
Wednesday
Petr Svarovsky gave a workshop on sensors and Basic Stamp at the academy.
At 17.00 Aeron Bergman gave lecture on the history of Sound in visual arts (first part, from field holleres to jack Goldstein)
In the evening there was a concert with Tony Conrad (with Michael F. Duch and C. Spencer Yeh) in Sophienberg church.
Thursday
Second day of workshop on sensors with Petr Svarovsky.
Aeron gave lecture on the history of sound in visual arts (second part)
Friday
A day with Tony Conrad. Lecture in the morning. Critique of student works in the afternoon. In the evening there was a screening of Conrads experimental films (Flickr was one. Another one was a print of a film cooked in curry)
Weekend. Students were working at Notam. Sunday a few went to Emanuel Vigeland Mausoleum.
Monday
Artist presentation by Roc Jimenez and Anne Ramos: Alku / Evol
Discussion of technology and art.
Tuesday
Pure data workshop with Roc Jimenez at Notam. An introduction to Pure data, basic concepts.
In the evening students were making a performance at Spasibar at 20.00
Wednesday
Pure data workshop w. Roc Jimenez at Notam (second day). Working with sound.
Thursday
Pure data workshop w. Roc Jimenez at Notam (third day). Focus on real-time 3D graphical manipulation.
At 21.00 students were presenting installation and performance works at skulptursala at the academy – an open studio.
Friday
Evaluation of the session and student works (both performance and installation)
