SPOR festival is inviting composers and sound artists to submit a proposal for a new work to be realized at SPOR 2010.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING: 3th December 2009

FEE FOR REALIZING THE PROPOSAL: 1.000 €

The proposal may describe a wide range of projects, from works for ensemble and music theatre pieces to sound installations. This year the festival is focusing on the presentation of work that in some way reveals to us something about contemporary music and its cultural environment. Christina Kubisch - presentation, 30th September, 10:00
The German artist and sound art pioneer Christina Kubisch is in Copenhagen as Artist-in-Residence. Among others she has realised a Copenhagen edition of the work "Electrical Walks". With custom-made headphones it is possible to walk through the city and hear the electromagnetic activity that is present all over.
In conjunction with her stay she will give a lecture at University of Copenhagen, Department of Arts and Cultural Studies. Here she will talk about her works.

German Sound art pioneer Christina Kubisch is spending the early fall in Copenhagen and Malmö

Following the conclusion of the first phase of The Nordic Sound Art programme, Research Fellow, PhD Karen Vedel has written a thorough evaluation report on the programme.

The first version of Nordic Sound Art Joint Study programme is finished.

The students were evaluated by an external evaluator. The individual evaluation was based on the projects exhibited at The Museum for Contemporary art in Roskilde, for the exhibition Soundings, a written thesis and an interview.
