SPOR 2010 - Call for Proposals

Posted on November 9th 2009 in NEWS |

SPOR festival is inviting composers and sound artists to submit a proposal for a new work to be realized at SPOR 2010.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING: 3th December 2009

FEE FOR REALIZING
THE PROPOSAL: 1.000 €

The proposal may describe a wide range of projects, from works for ensemble and music theatre pieces to sound installations. This year the festival is focusing on the presentation of work that in some way reveals to us something about contemporary music and its cultural environment. The proposal should reflect the theme of the festival. This might be realized through creating a one-to-one relationship with another art form or simply by presenting music in a manner that highlights its context. We are looking for proposals that ask questions about what it means to make new music today and by extension, what it could possibly become in the future.

WHAT TO SEND:
•  Maximum 2 pages of text (as PDF) describing one work that you wish to create and realize at the SPOR  festival 2010 + video or sound file sketches (optional).
•  CV
•  2-3 examples of work from the last 5 years as sound or video files. Accompanying scores in PDF format  are also welcome (but optional)

WHERE TO SEND IT: info@sporfestival.dk (we recommend that sound and video files are sent via a file transfer service (e.g. yousendit.com) or are available for downloading or streaming)
